Diana Poell, Early Childhood Facilitator
Diana received her Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Butler County Community College in
1998. Diana has been a preschool teacher for 18 years. She is our socialization expert and documents our students’
socialization progress as she interacts with the students and closes our school at the end of each day.

Christina Doffing, Early Childhood Facilitator
Christina received her Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Butler County Community College in
2008. Christina has had experience the past few years working with children in early childhood settings. Christina is
instrumental in providing whole and small group instruction and differentiation to the children in the academy,
assessing the students, documenting their progress, and maintaining student files. Miss Christina is a teacher in our
3-4 year old classroom.
Kimberly Fielding, Academy Founder and Director
Kimberly founded Honey Tree Academy in 2007 in order to provide the highest early childhood educational
experience possible to the young children in Kansas. She has been teaching young children in Kansas since
1987. Kimberly received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Wichita State University in 1989, her
Early Childhood Certification from Friends University in 2000, her Second Language Certification from Kansas
State University in 2000, and finally her Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Wichita State University
in 2004. Kimberly currently holds a License/Teaching Certificate in the state of Kansas.                              
Kimberly is a master facilitator and has many accomplishments to her credit, including:
•        Taught and participated on the leadership team in USD 259, the largest school district in Kansas for 20 years.
•        Participated in creating the first Dual Language Immersion Program in the state of Kansas 1996;                                             
Horace Mann Dual Language Magnet - A Blue Ribbon National School of Excellence
•        Co-Created and presented an integrated, academically challenging, early childhood, hands on curriculum;

•        Presented at State Teaching Conference 1997-1998
•        Featured in the 2005 Kansas Pediatric Foundation ‘Give a Kid a Book’ campaign
•        Who’s Who in American Teachers Award 2005

Miss Ava Honey
Miss Ava is our official school pet. Sher has passed her Canine Good Citizen test and has her CGC
certificate. She is currently working on her training to become a Certified Therapy Dog. Miss Ava provides
warmth, kindness, caring, and empathy to our students. She has excellent listening skills and functions well
in a counseling capacity!.
Rachel Holter, Elementary Educator and Early Childhood Facilitator
Rachel received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education degree  from the University of New Mexico in
2008.She also has a teaching endorsement in ESOL instruction. Rachel currently holds a License/Teaching Certificate in
the State of Kansas.  Rachel's previous experience was  teaching in fourth and fifth grade and working closely with an
administrative mentor.  Rachel is instrumental in providing whole and small group instruction and differentiation to the
children in the academy, assessing the students, documenting their progress, and providing technological integration
into lessons. Miss Holter is a teacher in our 3-4 year old classroom.
Jodi Torline, Early Childhood Facilitator
Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education will be complete as soon as she does her student teaching.  Jodi has had
four years of previous experience as a preschool teacher and as an Assistant Director. Jodi is instrumental in providing
whole and small group instruction, intervention and enrichment strategies to the students in the academy, assessing
the students, documenting their progress, and observing socialization development of the students. Mrs. Torline is a
teacher in our 4-5 year old classroom.
